Baby's first cold

Piper has officially gotten her first cold. And it only took 1 week at daycare!

The poor baby is all stuffy and she is sneezing and coughing all the time. But thanks to the miracle of modern technology we've been able to help her out a little. Monday night we picked up, thanks to a recommendation of one of a Jason's coworkers, the NasalClear Battery Operated Nasal Aspirator. This thing blows those bulb aspirators out of the water. I honestly can't believe how much snot came out the first time we used it. Granted, it takes two of us now to clean out her nose (one to hold her down and another to suction), but it gets the job done so much better! And it even plays 12 songs to soothe the screaming baby (yeah... like that's gonna help!).

Piper's First Trip to Rittenhouse

Here are some pictures from our afternoon at Rittenhouse Park. I think Piper had a good day!

Piper's 2nd Day at Daycare

Dropping Piper off at daycare today was 1000 times better than yesterday. Her teachers were so excited to see her when we came in. And apparently, she already has a boyfriend!

Oh... and she must have had fun yesterday because she was exhausted last night. She fell asleep for the night at 8:30pm (she actually fell asleep earlier, but we had to wake her up to give her a bath) and didn't wake up again until 4:15am. That's the longest stretch of sleep she's given us in a while.

Piper's First Day at Daycare

Today is Piper's first day at daycare (and my first day back in the office). It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. She seemed pretty happy when we left and I'm sure she'll do just great. But I still worry that she'll end up crying all day or not napping at all and be a miserable mess when she gets home.

I know everyone told me it would be hard for the first few days or weeks, but I just didn't believe them. I guess because I was going to stir crazy being couped up in the house for the last 3 1/2 months that I was looking forward to today... to my freedom. But now that this day has come... I'm just sad. :(
