As you may recall from one of my earlier posts, at our last ultrasound the tech wasn't able to definitively say whether little baby Marshall was a he or a she (although she speculated a she since she didn't see anything between those little legs that were being sat on). And since everything is going so smoothly, the likelihood of us having another ultrasound (before it was too crowded in there to tell the sex anymore) were pretty slim.
Well, fast forward to today and not only will there be another ultrasound, but I'm getting paid for it. Yup... you heard right... we're getting paid for being pregnant!
Ok, here's the explanation... When I was in the hospital this morning (like I am every morning for work... don't worry, nothing is wrong) I saw a flyer asking for pregnant models for an ultrasound training class. So I called the number and it turns out there is still a slot open for this coming Saturday morning. The gig pays $50 an hour (I guess I should have asked how many hours I'll be there for... oh well) and all I have to do is lay on a table while someone demonstrates how to do a fetal scan for nurse practitioners. Of course I'm also secretly hoping that we can confirm the sex while we're there, but even if we can't I'll get another peek at our little one and some extra money to put towards her nursery (which is almost set up, by the way... pictures to follow shortly) or maybe a 3D ultrasound.
