After our failed attempt at rice cereal we thought we'd give some veggies and fruits a shot. Our first one... carrots!
I've decided that I want to make Piper's baby food. I couldn't believe it, but it so easy... and WAY cheaper! Making carrots took about an hour, and most of that was just the steaming (so not really work anyway). I peeled and cut up the carrots and then steamed them for about a half an hour. The recipe I got said 15-20 minutes, but it really took about 30. That's okay though because it was Football Sunday so I just spent the time back and forth between the living room watching the game and the kitchen checking on the carrots. Then I pureed them in the blender with some of the water left over from steaming.
Here's what Piper thought...

I think she's a fan!

Yeah! She loved carrots. Which is weird, because I think carrots are gross.
